Bianca Bothma is a creative, flexible and reliable media freelancer based in South Africa. She does research, takes photos and writes articles about what she loves and what she hopes to change in this bittersweet world we live in.

After graduating with a BTech in Journalism from the Durban University of Technology, Bianca left home for Asia for the first time in 2007.

Besides teaching English and mastering her chopsticks technique, her other adventures in China have included drinking yak butter tea with Tibetan nomads in Sichuan province, hiking through stone forests near Kunming, and riding a speedboat on the Chinese/North Korean border to name a few.

She has since left home again for South Korea where she has eaten live octopus, drank Soju cocktails and competed in a squid cooking contest.
